Unlike many other products Hexaglot translators are capable of translating 'to and from' any combination of these languages via the included 15 bilingual dictionaries. Hexaglot products draw their language data from Langenscheidt the German publishing giant who have been making travel and language dictionaries for over 150 years, all language and word counts have been checked and accredited to German TÜV standards. The language database on the Traveller SC West contains more than 540,000 entries and includes translations of approx 122,589 main head words split between the 6 languages, in effect this means you have an average of around 20,000 main words per language. It is accepted that the English language has in excess of 200,000 words, with the average person's vocabulary being around 10,000 words, so the Traveller SC West delivers excellent word coverage and deals with the most popular and commonly used words.
